Young Lions FC emerged winners of the 2006 Jatta Kunda nawettan League after beating Man United 2-0 in the final. The match, which was well contested by both teams, was described by many as the best. At the end of the encounter, both teams received a trophy and cash prize of D500.00 and Man United were awarded the most discipline team prize of D250.00. In an interview Musa Mansareh, team coach for Young Lions, said this year’s nawettan is the most peaceful and successful competition.
