One of Gambia’s most successful local coaches, Alhagie Sarr whose contract ended with former club GPA FC last month, has finally succeeded in signing a five year lucrative contract with second division side Sea View last week.
Coach Alhagie Sarr reacting to his appointment told Pointsport that his first task with the club in the first three years is to uplift the standard of the team, which includes building up a young side that can equally have the chance of playing in the senior national team.
He said after signing his contract with the club, he met the Chairman of the club Hatib Janneh Junior, and have discussed about the way forward of the club and expressed satisfaction with the support received from him.
He described his move as a good one and promised to live up to expectations.
He commended the management and players of former club GPA for all the support given to him during his stay at the club.
Commenting on his former contract with GPA, coach Sarr stated that he signed a two year contract with GPA and when the contract nears expiry with one month left, GPA wanted to renew it but it was too late as he has already received a good offer from Sea View.
