Managing Director of Beckon Interactive and promoter of Sultan Sweets Restaurant, one of the units under the Al-Ahmar Group, made this declaration during a honourific dinner hosted in the honour of the team last Friday at Sultan Sweets.
Secka said the gesture is their own way of thanking and congratulating The Gambia U-20 team for their valiant performance in the Congo U-20 Championship and their subsequent qualification to the World Champions in Canada. He called on others in the public and private sectors to contribute towards the Canada 2007 campaign. Friday’s grand dinner was attended by the officials and players of the gallant U-20 team, member of the Gambia Football Association, and representatives from the Department of State for Youth, Sports & Religious Affairs and members of the press.
