Point Suffer Three Consecutive Defeats

In the ongoing National Interdepartmental Football Tournament, The Point Newspaper Football Team has suffered another defeat in the hands of One + One last Sunday at the Cocktail Football pitch.

After suffering defeats in the hands of NAWEC 3-0 and Police 3-1, the Pen Boys (Point) again were beaten 2-1 by One + One resulting to their early exit from the championship.

The match, which was classified as the clash of the underdogs, was dominated by One + One. Hussein, One + One’s playmaker, who received a long pass from the midfield, opened the score for his side.

After the goal, Point team mounted a scrambling challenge on One + One but their option was quick neutralised by One +One team. The Pen Boys’ hope was dashed by another goal scored by Hussein again.

Later Saiba Keita reduced the score line for the Point.

In other results, Police hammered One + One 5-0, Kombo Beach Hotel humiliated GRTS 5-0, GCAA beat Atlantic Hotel 3-2, GAF defeated KMC 3-1, NAWEC drew 2-2 with One + One and Police beat Point Newspaper 3-1.
