Musa Casa Taal, President of the Gambia Volleyball Association has said that Gambia Volleyball team’s trip to Algeria to take part in the all-African Games in July 2007 would not take place.

He said their plans to represent the Gambia in the all Africa game have been over shadowed by the preparation of the Gambia U-20 participation for Canada.

“We lack the finance that will enable our participation”, he added.

He said: “As for now all our activities have been suspended until the end of the rainy season and we intend to run our training courses in October this year,” he noted.

It could be noted that The Gambia and Senegal were expected to represent the Zone II in the All Africa Games in Algeria next month.
