The  swearing- in  of Alagie Kebba Ceesay as the new chief of Niamina Dankunku was presided over by the Deputy Governor of Central River Region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Touray urged the people of Niamina Dankunku to support the new chief in the execution of his duties.  He implored on the new chief to serve the people of his district efficiently effectively without fear or favour. 

For his part, the Governor of Lower River Region LRR, Momodou Soma Jobe, urged the people of the area to desist from anything that may bring confusion or misunderstanding amongst them.

Lamin Jadama, National Assembly Member for Niamina West Lamin Jadama, urged the people of Niamina Dankunku to assist the new chief in order to function amicably as expected of him.  The chief of Sami,  Maro Jawla  on behalf of  behalf of his colleagues  called on the people of Niamina Dankunku to remain loyal to President Jammeh and support to the new chief
