Guinea paedophile to be deported

One Muhammed Bah, a native of Guinea Conakry, was yesterday, convicted and sentenced to eighteen months imprisonment with hard labour by Senior Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrate Court after pleading guilty to a charge of defiling an underage girl (name withheld).

In addition, he was ordered to pay the victim a sum of D15, 000 which will cater for her medical bills, among others.

Senior Magistrate Mbake also ordered his immediate deportation after serving the jail term.

According to prosecution, Mr Bah was some time this year, in the Serrekunda suburb of Tallinding, arrested for defiling a 16-year old girl who is reported to have conceived.
