The Gambia National Lottery’s resolve to reduce youth unemployment as well as to contribute towards stimulating economic growth was recently reiterated by the marketing manager of the company.
Mr Fabakary Jammeh, speaking at yet another presentation of an attractive cheque for D347,400 to the fortunate winner of GNL’s latest PMU jackpot, stressed that his company will show no indication of let-up in making good its promise to substantially reduce youth unemployment in the country. This, he emphasised, will help greatly in efforts to combat poverty and dependence.
Mr Jammeh highlighted that GNL places a high premium on the customer as could be evidenced in their recent payment of cash to a certain winner in Kaur in Central River Region of The Gambia.
The Managing Director of GNL, Mr Dembo Fanta Bojang, emphasised that if there is anything, his company very much prides itself in transparency as could be seen in their mode of payment.
He appealed to the greater public to patronise the GNL so as to help in creating more job opportunities.
Meanwhile, the latest PMU jackpot winner, a 72-year-old Ahmed Bah, is a resident of Kassa Kunda in Kombo Central and his cheque was presented to him at GNL’s Headquarters in
Bah said his dream have passed through as he will use the money to buy a land which has been his long cherished dream.
In another development, one Alex Ascotte was on Friday paid D20,000 for winning an instant lotto.
