Kujabi Ruled Out for Algeria Clash

Pa Saikou Kujabi, one of the outstanding wing backs of the senior national team will miss Scorpions match agaisnt Algeria on Sunday after obtaining two yellow cards in a row.

Kujabi picked his first yellow card in Monrovia and at home during Scorpions goaless match against the Terenga Lions of Senegal

Carlos, as he is fondly called, plays for first division side SV Reid in the Austrian, T-Mobile Bundesliga.

He is the only player who has played all six games for the Gambia in 2008 Nations Cup qualifying rounds and maintained a consistent performance.

He has always been in top form no matter what level of preparation the National team has had.

Speaking to Pointsports, Pa Saikou expressed his disappointment for not be able to make it during the weekend encounter.

He said “I am used to playing with them as a team and now due to yellows I will not be available for the game. But I believe that the coach will make a good replacement for Saturday’s game. I wish my colleagues well and hope they win on Saturday”.
