GAA delegate returns from Nairobi confab

Ebrima Tiyana of Gambia Prison Services, who is also a security representative at  The Gambia Athletics Association (GAA), recently returned from Nairobi, Kenya, where he underwent a two-week training course centred on walk race judging.

The training brought together over 21 participants from West, Southern and Central Africa.

In an interview with our reporter, Tiyana said the training course covered both practical and theoritical aspects, as well as the regulations of walk race.

He said the participants were examined at the end of the training before being certificated as trained walk race judges.

While thanking the GAA for facilitating his trip, Tiyana revealed his readiness to share with GAA members, the knowledge gained during the training.
