Commonwealth, ECOWAS Officials Visit The Gambia

A delegation from the Commonwealth and the Economic Committee of West African States (ECOWAS) on Sunday arrived in the country on a four-day visit.

The delegation consisted of the following members: Ambassador Ayodele Oke, Head of Africa, Saphita Raju, Political Officer Commonwealth and Ambassador Ade Adesuye, Democracy and Governance Adviser of ECOWAS.

The delegation is expected to meet the Vice President, Her Excellency Dr. Isatou Njie Saidy, and some senior government officials tomorrow at her office at the State House in Banjul to discuss the ongoing co-operation between the Commonwealth, ECOWAS and The Gambia.

Before ending their visit, the delegation is also expected to pay a courtesy call on President Jammeh.
