Alleged Money Doublers Arraigned

Two men were yesterday arraigned on a charge of attempting to commit an offence of money doubling.

Muhammed Huruna Jallow, a Guinean national and Samba Colley were arraigned before Magistrate Abdoulie Mbake of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court on allegation that they manifested to double D80, 000 to D160, 000.

Muhammed Haruna Jallow, the first accused pleadedguilty to the charge while his co-accused pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile Magistrate Mbake adjourned the case to 25th February 2009 to deliver judgement in the matter of the first accused.

They were granted bail in the sum of D80, 000 each.
