The Criminal Division of the Banjul High Court  has dismissed the bail review application filed by Bakary Gassama, former director of Finance at the NIA.

The applicant is standing trial for abuse of office. He had filed the application at the High Court seeking a review of the bail condition imposed on him earlier by the Banjul Magistrates Court which he could not fulfill.

The bail condition imposed on him was D100,000 with one Gambian surety who must be of the rank of a police commissioner.
