As Team Departs Next Friday

The Gambia Football Association (GFA) Thursday confirmed that the Under 17 football team will tour the UK, where a number of friendlies have been arranged, mainly with football academies in the build-up to the World Cup in Nigeria.
According to an official itinerary on the tour, the team will fly to London on Friday September 25 2009, and play its first test game against a side referred to as USSF on Sunday morning, at the Chelsea Football Academy.

Two days later, on the 30th September, the team will play against the Chelsea Academy, to be followed on October 5th with another match, this time around against Reading’s Academy.

The fourth match will be against Portsmouth’s Academy on 7th October  2009 and against Tottenham Hotspur Academy on October 12 before finally wrapping up the trip with a match against Leicester on October 14th.
