The chairman of The Gambia’s electoral body, the Independent Electoral Commission, Alhaji Mustapha L Carayol, will today, Wednesday 15th April 2009, depart Banjul for Pretoria, South Africa, according to a press release from the Commission.

The release states that the Chairman Carayol will be among erudite electoral experts who have been invited by the chairperson of the Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa to observe the presidential and legislative elections in that country, which is slated for the 22nd of April 2009. Chairman Carayol, the release concludes, is expected back in Banjul on 28th April 2009.
