The on-going Gambia Secondary Sport Association (GSSSA) is in high gears at three different football and volleyball pitches in the Western Region.

Speaking to the Pointsport at Fifa goal project football field in Old Yundum last Wednesday, the Secretary-General of the GSSSA, Alhagie S. Darboe has disclosed that as of Wednesday, thirty-two matches were played for both football and volleyball. He also disclosed that all volleyball matches would now be played at Abuko Upper Basic School volleyball pitch ground, adding that all the matches were trouble-free.

According to him, the final for the tournament is scheduled to take place at Fifa goal project in Old Yundum instead of Sere-Kunda East Mini stadium on June 27th 2009.

He gave the football scores for Senior Secondary Schools as follows: Gambia SS 1, Kaur Senior Secondary 0, St. Peter’s Senior Secondary 0, Bottrop Senior Secondary 2, Nustrat Senior Secondary 1, St. Augustine Senior Secondary 3, Siffoe Senior Secondary 0, Bansang Senior Secondary 0, Kaur Senior Secondary 0, Bottrop Senior Secondary 2, Gambia Senior Secondary 2, St. Peter’s Senior Secondary 0, St. Augustine Senior Secondary 1, Bansang Senior Second 0, Nustrat Senior Secondary 0 and Siffoe Senior Secondary 2.
