Jamisa Advanced to Samasang Inter-Community Tourney FinalTuesday, August 04, 2009
Jamisa Community Association has sailed through to the final of the 2009 Samasang Inter-Community Association Football Tournament in Kombo Central in the Western Region, organised and co-ordinated by Samasang Federation. They thrashed Penyem Community Association 3-0 in the first semi-final game, played at Kitty football field last Friday, attended largely by residents from Kitty and its surrounding areas.
Both sides made spectacular performances in the first half of the game and created lots of scoring chances in each other’s goal, but they failed to scored and the first ended 0-0. Penyem though fought back and created a few chances, but all their attacks were dispossessed by Jamisa defence line until the 90th minute of play ended 30 in favour of Jamisa. Kabafita Community Association on Saturday booked their ticket to the final, following their 5-4 win over Dasilami Community Association in the second semi-final clash, played at Penyem football pitch after 0-0 draw in the normal time of play. Jamisa Community Association will now clash with Kabafita Community Association in the final to be announced later. Author: Lamin Darboe
