Kanilai, the hometown of the Gambian leader, is on the preparation for the 5th International Cultural Festival and it will take place on 30th May 2009 under the distinguished Chief Patronage of His Excellency Professor Jammeh.

The much-hyped event is expected to start on the 30th May 2009.

The cultural festival is designed to promote and develop the rich cultural heritage and diverse traditions of the different ethnic groups of the sub-region. The event is expected to feature cultural troupes from The Gambia and its neighbouring countries.
