Kombo Beach Hotel Dragged to CourtWednesday, May 06, 2009
One Lamin Sawaneh has taken legal action against Kombo Beach Hotel for wrongful termination of employment. Lamin Sawaneh, 41, is claimin g D140, 220 being damages payable by the defendant (Kombo Beach Hotel) to the plaintiff on account of the termination of plaintiff’s employment. He sued his former employer at the Brikama High Court for what he considered to be breach of contract. When the case was called yesterday for mention, Lawyer Kebba Sanyang, holding brief for Lawyer Ousainou Darboe, counsel for the plaintiff, told the court that he was instructed to apply for a hearing day in July 2009.
The presiding Judge, Justice Ngui Mboob-Janneh, granted the application and consequently adjourned the case until
