One Ebrima Jallow Demba recently appeared before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court charged with common assault contrary to section 227 of the Criminal Code cap 10 volume III Laws of The Gambia.

According to the particulars of the offence, on the 29 April 2009, at Sinchu Alagie, the accused Ebrima Jallow Demba assaulted one Ebrima Bah by inflicting serious bites all over his body thereby causing him actual bodily harm.

When the charge was read, the accused pleaded not guilty.

Meanwhile he was granted court bail in the sum of D5, 000.

The case was adjourned to 16^th June 2009 for hearing.
