St. Joseph’s Family Farm Centre Disburse D149, 900 Loan

As part of a family project St. Joseph’s Family Farm Centre recently disbursed D149, 900 to 120 Agro entrepreneurs to purchase appropriate transport of their choice such as wheelbarrows, Donkeys, horses and bikes. The money aims to address their transportation problems in getting their products to the nearest markets.

In handing over the money to the beneficiaries, Mr Marcel Badjie, director of St. Joseph’s Family Farms Centre, spoke at length on the importance of  appropriate transport and the marketing Kapos. Mr Badjie noted that the appropriate transport is meant to facilitate the movement of the farmer’s goods.

For his part, Pierre Gomez, head of the extension officers at St. Joseph’s, urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the materials purchased.

Mr Gomez reminded them that the assistance is a loan which is repayable between one and two year periods through their marketing kapos.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Babaiaru Bojang, at Karro Foni Kanasala District, underscored the significance at the aid expressing hope that it would ease their transport problems. He urged the beneficiaries to pay the loan on time to enable other framers to benefit from the package.
