One Basiru Colley of Brikama Gidda recently testified in the ongoing criminal trial of obtaining money by false involving Saikou Trawally, Sulayman Sidibeh and Ousman Kujabi before Magistrate Fred Forster of the Brikama Magistrates’ Court.

In his testimony, the witness informed the court that on a certain day the complainant, Saine Jarju informed him that, Omar Trawally, Ousman Kujabi and Saiku Sidibeh misused his money. He said when PW1 told him that he directed him to one Babucarr a police officer at the Brikama Police station. He added that, after reporting the matter at the Brikama Police station, the three accused person were later arrested and taken to the police station.

He further testified that at the police station, the first accused person told the Station Officer that his name is not Omar Trawally but Saiku Trawally.He said the two accused persons Saiku Trawally and Ousman Kujabi confessed that they obtained the money from the complainant. He said at the S.O. office, the complainant stated that the accused persons obtained from him the sum of nine hundred and sixty seven thousand eight hundred (D967, 800). He adduced that at the police station, the accused persons agreed to pay the money in one month time

At this juncture the case as adjourned to 12th August 2009.
