Magistrate Kumba Sillah-Camara, of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court on 6th July 2009, presided over a theft case involving one Momodou Lamin Ceesay who was charged with steeling a motor battery value at D2000, being the property of Modou Sey.

Testifying, Modou Sey told the court that he recognised the accused and he could recall the 11th June 2009. He said on the day in question, he was informed by his driver that his new motor battery was removed from the vehicle.He added that after 5pm on the same day, he saw his battery with one Lamin who claimed to be the accused person friend. He revealed that the said Lamin told him that he got the battery from the accused person adding that he then confiscated the said battery from Lamin. He said he waited for the accused who also claim ownership of the battery and then accompany him to the Bundung Police Station.

The case was adjourned to 21st July 2009.
