Monday, July 06, 2009

A two-year-old boy recently fell off into a deep well situated in Sinchu Alhajie resulting in his untimely death.

Mohamed Ceesay born barely two years ago met his untimely death after falling in a deep but empty well, near their compound at Sinchu Alhajie.

According to an eyewitness, it was in the evening when Mohamed Ceesay disappeared.

The source says, “The little boy disappeared about 6pm and was found a little after 8pm”.

“After a long search, we went to the Teranga Radio Station and announced it.

It was after two hours of vigorous search that a neighbour called Alhajie Wai discovered that the boy was in the empty well,” he explained.

Frantic efforts were made to remove the child, after which he was taken to the Fajikunda Health Centre.

Little Mohammed was then rushed to the RVTH alive, but shortly died at the hospital about 1 am.
