Whats On: All set for Gamspirit Music AwardsThursday, April 16, 2009
As preparations currently intensify ahead of the second edition of The Gamspirit Music Awards slated for April 25th 2009, at the Kairaba Beach Hotel, the organizers have released the final list of nominees and their voting numbers for the much talked about event in town.
Organized by Champion Sound Entertainment under the management of the President award winning DJ Lamin Cham, it is meant to recognize outstanding talents who have made tremendous inroads and achievement in their respective fields of endeavor. According to Cham, this year’s event, under the chief patronage of his Excellency Professor Dr Alhagie Yahya AJJ Jammeh is proudly sponsored by some leading names in the country’s entertainment and public spectrum; notably Daily Observer, Gamcel, MA Finance, City Limits, West Coast Radio, The Point, Foroyaa, GRTS and 2STV from the neighboring Senegal. The guests of honor for the occassion are the two renowned Senegalese Mbalax stars, Youssour Ndour and Thione Secka. Below are the nominees with their voting numbers: Nancy Nanz-01, Njie B-02, Yusupha Mboob-03, Sambou Susso-04, Yusupha Ngum-05, Dr Olungander-06, Rebellion D”Recaller-07, Marthin Luther King –08, Jali Nyaling-09, Mbaye Gaye-10, Singateh-11, Pa Omar Jack-12, Jalex-13, Magnificent Joe-14, Jaliba-15, Jali Kebba-16, Mam Tamsir-17, Nenneh Susso-18, Deha-19, Public Demand-20, Tapha Artist-21, Ndey Cham-22, Lama and Momodou Musa –23, Twin Sisters-24, Amie Jah Bless -25, Oumie Ngum-26, Bala Ranks-27, Vex Gungyman-28, Five Star Band-29, Rass2 Rass-30. As of now people can vote for their favorite artists by sending their favourite artists’ numbers to 1500.
