Vidar FC, one of the youngest and dynamic football teams in Bakau have booked their place to the Bakau league cup final. Vidar beat the mighty Border side to reach their first league final in their three-year trade in the Bakau nawettan season. Two second half goals from their elephant strikers, Ebrima Manneh and mesmeric Ensa Njie were enough to seal the game in Vidar’s favour.

Vidar FC will now meet Ron Mango FC who defeated Batankoto in last night’s encounter in the grand final. The two sides drew 1-1 in full time match before Ron Mango emerged winners by 6-5 in a post-match penalty shoot-out.

On their road to the final, the young and determined Vidar FC emerged runners up in Group C, which was undoubted considered the Group-of-death. The Old Bakau side went ahead to defeat their neighbours, Zebra FC by a lone goal in the quarter-final fixture before facing the mighty Border side in the semi final.

The grand final, according to the organising committee, might be shifted to after the Koriteh prayers.
