The 2007 FA cup champions of the Gambia Football Association, Gambia Ports Authority Football Club, have finally succeeded in signing a 2-year contract with former Ham Ham coach, Ebrima Cham Joof.
Coach Ebrima Cham Joof replaces former coach of the club, Alhagie Sarr whose contract runs out November 30, 2007.

Coach Ebrima Cham Joof alias Luekeh, was a former squad player of the Gambia Scorpions and his league club Real de Banjul.

Speaking to Pointsports after his appointment, Coach Cham Joof expressed gratitude for his appointment and described it as an exciting challenge.
He said everything was in place and that he would be taking up duties with the team with effect from December 3, 2007.

Reacting to the appointment, former coach of the GPA Alhagie Sarr, described it as very encouraging and wished him luck in his undertaking.

A big challenge awaits Coach Ebou Cham Joof who was sacked from second division side Ham Ham in the just concluded Gambia Football Association Second Division league. He also led the Banjul zone to reach the finals of the 2007 zonal championship.
