Katchically, the Bakau representatives in the GFA Third Division play-off were given their matching out order on Wednesday by the Serrekunda East Community team side.

The two sides drew 1-1 in their Wednesday encounter played at the Bakau Mini-stadium, before the Serrekunda East side proceeded on goal rule.

Serrekunda East will join a triangular tourney that will gather a team from Banjul zone and Western Regions.

The winner in the triangular tourney will be automatically promoted to the second division.

Bakau Sports and Zonal Committee’s decision to nominate Katchically United to represent Bakau in the Third Division play-off has been the heated debate in the past weeks after the league champions, Vidar FC, claimed the committee was biased in their decision making.

Vidar FC, who were denied last season at the expense of Sea View, believed they should have represented Bakau as the league holders.
