Car hijacked in Bakau

The vicinity of the Independence Stadium near the Banjul Highway was the scene of a hijacking of a Black BMW vehicle registration number BJL 6943D at around 11:30 pm. The vehicle belongs to one Maimuna Cole of Pipeline.

Ms Cole who walked into the Observer Offices yesterday at around mid-night in tears said: “I was driving my car at the said time. Upon arrival at the said junction, I stood to wait for a vehicle to cross so that i can follow. Then three boys came to were I stood. Two of them forcefully opened the back door of the car and entered. They then threaten me with a knife. I resisted but they bundle me out of my own car. The other gangster went with my hand bag which was containing my Gambian Passport, number PC 08077, my national identity card and a cash amount of D2500” she explained.

The matter according to her has been reported to the Kairaba Police Station. Any one who comes across the said vehicle can contact Maimuna Cole on the following numbers: 7748933,7615152 and 9813262.
