The Spanish coach of the Gambia National team, Jose Martinez, would lead the Scorpions to his first home game on Sunday since he takes over as head coach of The Gambia.

Coach Jose Martinez was appointed as Head coach of The Gambia in April this year following a row between the Department of State for Youths, Sports and Religious Affairs and then German coach Tony Hey.

The Spanish coach was brought to The Gambia through the special intervention of His Excellency Dr Alhagie Yahya A. J. J Jammeh and coach Martinez led the Scorpions to two vital away draws in Conakry and Praia.

Sunday would be Coach Martinez’s first home game and if he succeed of collecting the three points, he would be classified as the most successful foreign coach the country has never had.
