BSC Hangs More Players

In their fight to clack down violence in the Banjul Nawettan, the Banjul Sports Committee recently banned more players from the 2006 nawettan championship.

According to the Committee official Journal, after scrutinising the referee’s report of the match between Marcus FC and Natanga FC played on Saturday 23rd September 2006 at the Banjul Mini Stadium, both Ousman Jadama and Sheriffou Touray of Marcus FC were suspected for the rest of the 2006 nawettan championship in Banjul.

The Committee accused the players of using abusive language against the match officials contrary to the rules and regulations of the beautiful game, Football.

The committee also warned Sheikh Gaye of the same team, who is not a registered official of Marcus FC, to desist from using abusive words towards the match officials or else will be banned from entering the Banjul Mini Stadium and his club Marcus would be punished accordingly to that effect.

In another development Njaga Joof of Ngoyan FC has been also suspended for the rest of the 2006 nawettan championship.

Njaga Joof was accused of using abusive language against the match official in their game against Jamesen FC on Sunday 24th September 2006.

Mr Joof would not represent Ngoyan as an official and would not be allow being on the bench in any of their game.
