The President of the Gambia Football Association, Seedy Kinteh, left Banjul yesterday for Tunis to attend the inaugural meeting of the CAF Inter-clubs competitions organising committee, which he is a member.
“We would be having your first meeting on Saturday November 11th, 2006 before the return leg match of the 2006 African Championship League Final between C.S Sfaxien of Tunisia and El Ahly of Egypt,” said Mr. Kinteh.
He added that the meeting would be chaired by CAF President Issa Hayatou and would be attended by all members of the Organising Committee of the Inter- clubs Competitions.
It could be recalled that the first leg of the 2006 CAF Champions League final was played in Cairo some two weeks ago and ended 1-1.
The winners of the most precious African club competition would be awarded a Giant trophy and a cash prize of $1million.
