Aziz Tamba, the embattled APRC assistant Deputy National Youth Mobiliser was last Tuesday January 16, brought before Principal Magistrate Moses Richards of Bundung court to testify against his co-accused persons, who are facing criminal charges of allegedly being in possession of fire arms and ammunition, contrary to the laws of The Gambia.
Aziz Tamba was earlier convicted and sentenced to eight years imprisonment, with hard labour which he will serve in Janjangbureh Prisons, after admitting guilty for being in possession of fire arms, with eight life rounds of ammunition.
He also pleaded guilty for theft, and later taken to Bundung Magistrate under police protection to give evidence in the trial of his co-accused, who had pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
However, the trial could not proceed as the presiding Principal Magistrate Moses Richards was indisposed.
Aziz Tamba was then escorted back to the State Central Prisons, in Banjul. Sergeant 453 Touray stood in for the IGP at the trial.
