A group of staff from Brufut health centre led by their officer in charge, Alasan Darbo, together with the village Development Committee, on Thursday, 22nd March 2007,presented some medical items worth about seventy five thousand dalasi (D75,000.00) to the Royal Victory Teaching Hospital, Banjul
Receiving the items, Baboucarr Ngum, Public Relation Officer of the RVTH thanked the group for their wonderful gesture.
He promised that the items will be put into good noting that the items will go a long way in meeting the health needs of The Gambian people. Mr Ngum commended the donors, Mr Borri Jatta and Madam Linda based in UK, for their noble gesture.
Ba Jabbie on behalf of the Village Development Committee also thanked the donors for their unflinching support to the health needs of the community of Brufut and The Gambia as a whole. Mr. Malang Fofana who spoke on behalf of the Divisional health team, commended Mr. Alassana Darboe and his team for establishing such a very good cordial relationship with the donors, and urged them to keep up the momentum.
Mrs. Mabintu Sanneh on behalf of the Brufut women also thanked the donors for their kind generosity. The occasion was chaired by Mrs Mari Joof, a staff of Brufut health centre.
