A fifteen (15) months-year-old baby boy, Sana Touray last week Friday met his untimely death after drowning in a jar, a Bansang, Central River Region.

According to sources, the baby’s mother (Mariama Duganda) was in the house preparing for the monthly Clinic Day, and unknowingly left without the knowledge of the child, who later drowned. Against all odds, she found her baby upside down unconsciousnessly in a big jar.

According to the child’s father, Kabba Touray, the incident happened when he was at his working place. He then added that he is not living in the same compound with the family. “I was just informed about it and by the time I arrived the baby was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” he lamented.

However, efforts have been made to have an interview with the baby’s mother, but to no avail. She is currently helping the police in their investigations.
