District tribunal training held![]() Tuesday, March 20, 2007 A three-day District Tribunal Workshop, funded by Legal Capacity Building Programme (LCBP), on Monday, kicked off at Bansang, Central River Region (CRR).
The workshop, which targets chiefs, bailliffs, court members and scribes, is aimed at capacitising the members of district tribunal on their various functions within their jurisdiction. Welcoming the participants, Alhaji Amulai Janneh, Governor of CRR, said the training will enhance the work of district court members. Governor Jammeh urged the participants to take the training seriously, as this is the first time for CRR to benefit from such a training. Ms Gui Mboob-Janneh, Judiciary Secretary at the Office of the Chief Justice, implored members of the district tribunal to be independent, impartial, and honest and demonstrate high sense of leadership quality in the dispensation of their duties.
