During the cross examination, Detective Keita told the court that he remembered some of the dates that the first accused person, Captain Bunja Darboe, appeared before the panel of investigators. “He appeared before the panel on the 21, 26, and 29 March 2006 and cautionary statements were taken from him. “I recalled that the statements were obtained in the presence of an independent witness.” he said.

Mr Keita further told the Court Martial that the video cassettes were recovered from Modou Sanyang and the audio cassette from the CDS-Lang Tombang Tamba. “I was there when the tape recorder was recovered from the NIA. I was also present when the cautionary statements of Cpt Yahya Darboe and Cpt Wassa Camara were made.
