Contemporary Arts Exhibition ends

A contemporary Arts exhibition of painting and inter-cultural dance was recently ended at the Safari Garden Hotel in Fajara from December 20th - 26th, 2006.
This was organised by mamadou Diakhate, a Senegalese citizen, currently residing in Germany.
Speaking to the Arts and Culture, Mr Max Diene and Irish Alton, Coordinators of the Art Exhinitiions described it as a success. They described the art works of Mamadou Diakhate as extremely wonderful and soul-aspiring. “It is not only his powerful pictures that have gained admiration and popularity but also his unusual technique in painting” they said. Mamadou Dikhate, on his part expressed delight at the management of Safari Garden Hotel for creating a conducive atmosphere for the organisation of the art exhibition and extended his hearfelt gratitude to the invited guests and customers for patronising the event. Joe Buzansi and company, performed a special dance for both the opening ceremony at the Safari Garden Hotel and at Alliance Franco Gambiene on Kairaba Avenue, alongside other Gambian cultural and Rap groups. The musical performance, according to Joe, is geared towards the promotion, development and preservation of Arts and Culture between Senegal and The Gambia.
