Fajara golf club bubbles![]() Wednesday, April 11, 2007 TK Motors sponsored golf tournament ended over the weekend at Fajara Golf Club with thrilling scores.
The tournament featured both men and ladies categories, as well as professional category. In the men’s category, Aman Saleem won on 38 points before Ronaldo Delgreco finished hot on his heels on 37 points. Guido Bucher consolidated himself with second runner-up position after scoring 36 points. Susanna Steinwehe emerged the queen in the ladies category on 31 points, while Susanna Lanfermeijer finished runner-up on 28 points. John Baldwin scored 29 points to finish on top of Seniors’ category. Tony Banna pulled 27 points to finish at runner-up position. Magnificent Alhagi Drammeh, a brother to the Gambian Tigerwood-Fakeeba Drammeh, was the inspiration in the professional category when he won on a playoff against Lamin Darboe at hole No.1, after both tied 73 points apiece. The Longest Drive on hole No.12 was won by Linda Lanarch, while the Longest Putt on hole No.17 was won by Mark Harrison. Guido Bucher, third spot holder in the men’s category walked away with the prize for the Nearest to Pin. The sponsor, Mr Musa Musa handed out coveted trophies to the various winners. The captain Vimal Shah commended the sponsors for their continuous support to Fajara Club. The club will host the Banjul Breweries annual tournament on Saturday, April 15, while Kairaba Beach Hotel tournament will follow suit the following week, April 21.
