The Western Region Health Team in collaboration with UNFPA on Friday organized an ‘open field day’ on antenatal care for the women of Farato in Kombo South.

Speaking at the gathering, Malick Gai, said the field day was meant to sensitize women about reproductive health issues and also danger signs during pregnancy.

Mr Juma Jallow, Regional Nursing Officer of Western Region called on men to be fully involved in the reproductive health issues of their families. He also urged men to support women both morally and financially during and after pregnancy.  

At the end of the ceremony, participants were awarded prizes including soaps, plastic pans and bowls.
