Mingdaw Ex-Students’ Association Extol President

The Ex-Students Association and students of Mingdaw Senior Secondary School in Farato, Western Region, have expressed gratitude to President Jammeh for his handsome gesture of donating a mini bus to the school. 

Speaking on behalf of the Ex-Students Association of the school, Mr. Saikou Leigh the Deputy Chairman of the Association said that the donated vehicle will greatly enhance the Implementation of the schools educational policy. This aims to provide quality affordable education to all Gambians. Mr. Leigh described the gesture as ‘timely’ as it addresses the current plight of students at the school who have difficulty in accessing transport. He described President Jammeh’s gesture as truly humanitarian and called on all to try and emulate it.

He described President Jammeh as a true leader who has the welfare of Gambians at heart. He praised President Jammeh for being alive to the plight of Gambians and trying to address the issues affecting them. This will, he posited, allow The Gambia to soon take its rightful place in the international community as a nation which is proud to defend the welfare of humanity. Mr. Leigh finally urged students at the school to apply themselves well and be dedicated to their education.

For his part, Mr. Modou Camer the Chairman of the Association also underscored the significance of the donation. He said the vehicle would go a long way in aiding the development of the school. Mr. Camar praised President Jammeh for his tremendous gesture and assured the donor that his generous gift would be put to very good use.

Other speakers included Mr. Modou Beh the Treasurer of the Association and Mr. Modou Cham the Social Secretary.
