D0.8M for Gunjur Health Centre

Plus AUSI International, a Non-Governmental Organisation in France, recently donated items, valuing D800, 000 to Gunjur Health Centre in Kombo South District, Western Region, at a ceremony held at the Health Centre.

Speaking on behalf of the organisation, Mr. Sidu Darboe, Lecturer at the School of Public Health, said the organisation has been rendering assistance to over four communities in Senegal and The Gambia, mainly in the area of health care, provision of water, educational facilities and skills training for the youths.

According to him, the materials will serve it rightful purpose in complementing government’s efforts in making health care accessible and affordable to all Gambians.

For his part, Lamin Sarr, Officer in Charge of the Health Centre, assured the donors that the materials will be put into good use.

He finally noted that the partnership will go a long way towards benefiting the community of Gunjur and its surroundings.
