Juffureh to get 5 Star Hotel

Preferred Trade International, a company based in Los Angeles, USA, is to build a five Star Hotel in Juffureh, Upper Niumi District, North Bank Region.

This was disclosed by Nekouressi Marie Jeanne, a representative Company who was in Juffureh to inspect the site as part of her visit to The Gambia.

Speaking to the Daily Observer in Juffureh, she said the main purpose of her visit is to inspect the proposed site in order to report back to the President of the company.

She added that for many years tourists have been visiting Juffereh, yet not much developments have taken place, prompting her company to come up with a plan for such a project.

“The project upon completion will create lot of job opportunities for residents and non-residents of the area.”

She then commended President Yahya Jammeh for what she described as his stance for his country and Africa as a whole. “He is a dynamic leader who worths commendation. The Gambia is a country that still exercises the holistic respect and the love for one another,” she said

For her part, Fatou Bayai, of The Gambia Tourism Authority, (GTA) who accompanied Mrs Jeane to Juffureh, said the Proposed project is a good move as it will create job opportunities for the people of the area.

According to him, GTA will give investors the neccesary support towards the realisation of the project.

Mamadi Faal, Executive Youth Leader of Albreda/ Juffereh Society, said the project will engage youths in development activities and create a job opportunity for them, thus preventing rural-urban migration.

He said the community is highly impressed with the initiative and commended the investors for their move.

Aja Tako Faal and Kebba Sira Jatta , Alkalo of Albreda and Juffureh, both expressed their appreciation and assured their full support for the success of the project.
