Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ court, yesterday, ordered one Fatou Sanneh of Serrekunda, to be remanded at the State Central Prisons at Mile II.
Fatou was arraigned before the court for pouring hot water on Isatou Drammeh thereby causing injuries to her body.  She pleaded guilty to the charge.

But the Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Jahateh, informed the court that, the complainant Isatou Drammeh, was discharged yesterday, and therefore could not make it to the court. He therefore applied for a short adjournment so that the complainant could come to court on the next adjourned date.

Magistrate Jammeh then adjourned the case to July 16, 2007 for continuation and gave orders for her to be remanded in custody until the next adjourned date.
