Serrekunda East meets West Today

Serrekunda East will host Serrekunda West at the Serekunda East mini stadium today as part of The Gambia Football Association U-17 selection team tournament aimed at identifying feature players for the national U-17 team.

Sukuta will clash with Gunjur on Saturday at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium while Brikama will meet Lamin on Sunday December 30 at the Serrekunda East ground.
Banjul took on Bakau at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium yesterday.

It will be recalled that the selection tournament kicked off December 15 featuring Upper River Region and Central River Region U-17 selection sides which ended goal-less. Lower River Region beat North Bank Region 1-0.

Seedy MB Kinteh, President of The Gambia Football Association, said the results of the matches played are not significant but highlighted that the tournament is aimed at identifying the young talented players nation-wide who will be brought together by the coach for training. At this point a final selection will be made.
