League of Graduates of Jamahiriya Held Congress

The League of Graduates of the Great Libyan Arab Jamahiriya recently held its congress at the Maummar Gathafi Mosque in Serrekunda.

Addressing the gathering at the opening of the congress, the Secretary of the People’s Bureau of the Great Socialist Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in Banjul, H.E Dr Ali Mohammad Dukaly, said he always feel happy whenever he sees the graduates of Jamahiriya.

Dr Ali used the occasion to applaud the Gambian leader, President Dr. Alhaji Yahya A. J. J. Jammeh for rapidly transforming the country into an enviable nation. According to him before  The Gambia used  to experience frequent power shortages  and poor road network, but now he added things are different thanks to President Jammeh and the APRC regime.     

Taking about the Libyan leader, Dr Ali said that, the dream of Brother Maummar Gathafi is all about African unity. “He wants to see one government, one currency and the same thinking for all Africans” he said.
 Speaking earlier, Sheikh Karamo Kanyi, Chairperson of the League thanked the World Islamic Call Society –WICS- a brainchild of the Libyan leader for the support rendered to the association. According to him their aim is among other things; to promote unity and understanding among Muslims, contribute to national development and to improve the living standard of youths.

Sheikh Kanyi went on to congratulate the Libyan people on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the Fateh revolution to be observed in The Gambia today.

Al Wifati, Director World Islamic Call Society  (WICS) Gambia Office hailed the revolutionary leader brother Maummar Gathafi for transforming Libya into a recognized state as far as Islam is concerned.

Muhammed Sarr, Secretary General, Gambia Supreme Islamic Council also showered encomiums on the Gambian leader President Jammeh and his Libyan counterpart Brother Maummar Gathafi for their dedication to the propagation and promotion of the Islamic religion.

 Meanwhile, the congress witnessed the inauguration of the new office of the League by the Libyan envoy to The Gambia. The New is located at just next to the Maummar Gathafi Mosque.
