Following years of fruitful collaboration, Sukuta-Moomerland Circle of Friends Association last Wednesday celebrated its 20th anniversary at a colorful ceremony held at the Sukuta Upper Basic School.
Moomerland Circles of Friends Association, a non-profit organisation, came into contact with Sukuta Upper Basic School twenty years ago with the aim of helping children and young people especially in the area of education and development.
Speaking at the ceremony, Holger Schneider, head of Sukuta-moomerland Circle of Friends Association, underscored the association’s drive towards helping children and young people attain to their basic educational needs.
“Moomerland is a non-profit organisation with the aim of helping children and young people especially in the areas of education and development”, he said
In his welcoming remarks, Mr. Sarja Sanneh, Principal of Sukuta Upper Basic School, highlighted the Association’s contributions in uplifting the school for the past 20 years. This, he said, ranges from infrastructural development, telephone lines, electricity, and the introduction of Information technology to the school among other things.
He also used the occasion to thank their friends for their contribution to the development of the school. He expressed hope that the fruitful relationship that exists between the two will go from strength to strength.
Also speaking earlier, Ousman Mama K. Bojang, Chairman of Sukuta-Moomerland Circle of Friends Association, described the relationship between the two as a genuine one noting that with such relationship, a lot of dividends will be yielded.
