Guinea-Bissau President Visits the Tanji Fisheries Project

The President of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Jao Bedinardo Viera visited the Tanji Fisheries Project recently.

Her Excellency, the Vice President, Mrs. Ajaratou Isatou Njie Saidy received him.

Speaking to this reporter, His Excellency Viera said his visit to The Gambia was to strengthen the bilateral relationship between his country and ours. He described the people of The Gambia as kind and honest.

For his part, the Director of the Fisheries Department, Mr. Adiatou Njie said that the plant has contributed immensely to the development and empowerment of the people of Tanji and the surrounding area.

Governor of the Western Region, Mr. Abdou F. M. Badjie commended the Government of The Gambia for setting up the project in his region.
