A robbery suspect, Alieu Bah, is currently cooling off in cell as his trial draws dangerously closer.
Alieu appeared before magistrate Mbai on Wednesday of last week to answer two-count charges of robbery and assault.
According to particulars of the offence, Alieu, in October of this year in Yundum village, robbed one Albaraka of D6000 and a mobile phone valued at D2500. He was also alleged of attempting to use violence in the process.
Alieu was also charged with the alleged offence of throwing a projectile at one Modou Sanyang but when the charge was read to him, he pleaded not guilty.
An order for him to be remanded in custody till the resumption of the case early next week was consequently issued by magistrate Edrissa Mbai.
