Barely two days after defeating Burkina faso 2-1 in the on-going quadrangular tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, the Baby Scorpions humbled the host Cote d’Ivoire by their 2-0 victory to make it to the final.

Gambian forward Domingo Manneh put Gambia in the lead just 4 minutes into the match, after he was set up by midfielder, Sainey Touray, fondly called Ballack. Abdou extended Gambia’s lead with his long range shot in the 68th minute sent the Baby Elephants to packing, amid a chanting home crowd.

The invincible Gambia, which collected 7 points in three matches, will now meet Burkina Faso in a much-anticipated final on Wednesday, while the host will lock horns with controversial Niger.
